By incorporating the use of strategic alliances and outsourcing, Riparian Zone augmented by the formulation of networks that are held together by contracts and performance agreements.
Each member of the organisation performs certain activities necessary to deliver products and services to the network. As a whole Riparian Zone utilises external alliances selectively as a mechanism to gain strategic flexibility.
